John

John is the quiet one. He doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke (any more) and doesn’t swear (much). However, John’s singing voice is that of a thousand Viking warriors roaring into battle. God only knows where that comes from! John also plays rhythm and lead guitars, both acoustic and electric.

John was born in Chester, grew up in Liverpool, lived for a few years in Edinburgh and now in Livingston.

John was a founding member of VOTBK with Iain, who is also his brother in law coincidentally. He was married at Anfield Road stadium, home of Liverpool FC (Andy was best man), at a ceremony where the guest of honour was the Champions League trophy. However, John still has some way to go in his ambition to play centre midfield for Liverpool FC!

John’s musical influences include Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Tool, Alice in Chains, Idlewild, and New Model Army
