Dan

Dan is without doubt the eye-candy in VOTBK. Watch out though, girls (and boys?) because his wife is a black belt in Karate and has represented her club in global tournaments as far afield as Japan and Sweden.

All that doesn’t distract from the fact that he is an exremely accomplished bassist, whose thumping and resounding bass-lines drive the VOTBK sound through the noisy numbers, and yet can sit back gently in the quiet parts of the repetoire.

Dan is Irish, but spent much of his later childhood and early adulthood living in Australia. Thankfully, Dan now resides in Livingston, so the commute to rehearsals isn’t so dramatic, after all.
